Matthew Williams is one the most popular designers to emerge in the past few years, and in this episode of Threaducation we will take a look at how that happened. All things considered, it’s a pretty crazy story. He started off woking for a brand in Los Angeles, began working with with Kanye West, started dating Lady Gaga, eventually joined Kanye’s creative agency DONDA, founded Been Trill alongside Virgil Abloh, Heron, Preston, and Justin Saunders, then eventually left that to found Alyx. After a few years of proving himself at Alyx he became the creative director of Givenchy. We’ll break down each step along the way along with some surprising facts and theories.
