In the Spring of 1987 WHTX (then owned by Hearst) in Pittsburgh created a campaign to promote what we did on the air. O' Brien and Garry in the morning and a bunch of songs every hour throughout the day. These spots are so well done and so well intended to promote one of the best FM signals in Pittsburgh. Our competitor was EZ Communications' WBZZ "B94". WHTX was almost a "Hot AC" for its time and the music was good. B94 was the station known to play TEN IN A ROW. See if you can figure out why these spots-as good as they are -didn't quite work.
