Welcome to StudyBall and over some time I got into a conversation on Twitter about Brock Purdy being a “dink and dunk” type passer.To me, dink and dunk means you aren't really looking to push the ball down the field, you’re not really playing the game based on the play that’s been called but you’re really just trying to maybe if it’s perfect and everything is wide open to take a shot down the field, but everything else is kind of just get a completion and move the chains.

A guy that plays within a system even if the system is designed more for 5-10 yard passes, is not a dink and dunk type offense or quarterback if they are playing the position and doing what the defense dictates for them to do. I went back and looked at one of the later games for him in the playoffs against the Seahawks to see over the course of a game what does he do from play to play?
