SMART GLASSES AND MUSIC | IS IT POSSIBLE?

My journey so far with smart glasses and augmented reality has been nothing but exciting.

VUYU are maintaining a focus on deploying wearable solutions for the heavy industry sectors and the growing list of clientele really shows what an exciting industry this is and will continue to be.

Anyone involved in the industry of AR knows, Monday to Friday is non stop.

Demonstrations, meetings, content, events, the list goes on and on.

But, one use case that has been playing on my mind for some time now is if smart glasses and augmented reality have a realistic future in the music industry?

Equal to my passion for smart glasses, comes music, listening to it, playing it, singing it. I love it all.

So why not mix the two together, if that’s actually possible.

Some ideas

Could one day an English speaking person attend a music concert in Japan and have the live lyrics translated from Japanese to English in real time?

Could one day musicians of the famous Andre Rieu orchestra simply read notation music from Vuzix smart glasses instead of the stage taking up space with music book stands?

Or perhaps the fans watching have the option of the notation music being played in front of them, to give a full immersive experience of the music they love and enjoy?

The above ideas I believe don’t even touch the surface of what’s possible with smart glasses in the realm of the arts.

But for now, being able to have lyrics scroll in front of oneself while singing not only makes learning easier and more enjoyable

But allows me to rehearse music more diligently.

This simple application will help students and musicians prepare more effectively before a recording or show.

I believe smart glasses have applications that many people aren’t yet conceiving and the only way to find out if use cases such as these are realistic is to begin playing around, experimenting, and having a whole lot of fun.

That’s why posting these use cases are so much fun, it allows people far more talented than me to pick up one idea and build it into something that’s better and more valuable.

If you’re an app builder, software developer, musician, businessman or woman who thinks exploring such use cases have real world value, I’d love nothing more than to start a conversation on how these use cases could be improved and optimized.

Also, much credit to the Vuzix team who have developed such incredible and scalable technology that won’t just transform one or two industries, but hundreds.

So, what do you all think? Do you believe in the synergy of AR and music coming together?

Please tell me your thoughts?

Last note: Apologies for the low-quality recording, at the moment I’m only equipped with a microphone and garage band on my mac book. I hope I can improve the sound quality in time.

Thanks everyone and keep winning.
