While multiparametric MRI has been the best method for accurately characterizing the prostate gland, finding suspicious areas for targeted biopsies, and sparing men of biopsies, there has always been a concern about a certain percentage of cancers that evade detection on MRI. Here, public health expert Mark Moyad, MD, MPH asks radiologist Daniel Margolis, MD whether there has been an improvement in the rate of cancers detected by mpMRI that would have evaded detection in the past.
