On day Three of our Queensland trip we hired a car and drove two hours north of the Gold Coast to Australia Zoo.

Located in Beerwah on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, Australia Zoo is owned by the family of the iconic late Australian animal conservationist and much loved personality Steve Irwin.

With 700 acres of Space, Australia Zoo is home to a wide variety of Fauna from Australia and other parts of the world. Also a wildlife hospital, and many educational exhibits and demonstrations form part of this amazing complex.
