When @ThatOneVideoGamer asks me to produce a parody song, I don't ask questions. Guitars were recorded by Sixto Sounds (thank you!!) and I sang the vocals during the chorus myself! I had never heard Fountains of Wayne before this, and after finding out that songwriter Adam Schlesigner passed away from COVID-19 last year I ended up falling in love with the band's work. I know this is a silly cover song, but it does represent the beginning of a very strong connection with an artist and I hope in some way it can honor his memory. I also feel really happy about getting to showcase my singing voice for once, and I plan to do that more and more in 2021 if I can.
