This is in my top three favorite rides at Disney, California Adventure Park. The line isn't usually too long and if you have Genie Plus for the day you can skip the queue!

What you’ll see on the ride: (Spoilers ahead!)

- You’ll start soaring above the clouds.
- Swiss Alps, a familiar sight to Disneyland fans- the Matterhorn!
- Icy Greenland with polar bears and an Orca whale breaching the water.
- Australia’s iconic Sydney Harbour.
- Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria Germany. This is the inspiration for Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland.
- Elephants marching toward Mount Kilimanjaro. Make sure you pay attention to your senses other than visual 😉
- Great Wall of China.
- Great Pyramids of Egypt.
- Taj Mahal in India
- Monument Valley
- Fiji’s Lau Island
- Iguazú Falls in South America
- Eiffel Tower at night surrounded by the lights of Paris.
- Fireworks over Disneyland at night.

This ride always makes me feel so free and happy. If you're afraid of heights, it may not be your favorite ride, but if love feeling the freedom of soaring while being full encased in outstanding visuals, music and scents, then this will easily become one of your new favorite rides.

This ride is suitable for riders 40” or taller. We took my son for the first time when he was 3. Heads up, we told him about the whale jumping out of the water ahead of time so he wasn’t surprised.

Please note, sometimes Disney California Adventure Park chooses to bring Soarin' Over California back for a limited run. They are actually doing that right now at DCA, so make sure you know which ride you'll be experiencing before you go!
