Shot in 1937, this silent home movie film by an American tourist shows a trip to Key West, Florida as well as Cuba, featuring popular tourist activities. During this era, Cuba became a favored destination for American tourists, particularly during the Prohibition era when looser restrictions on alcohol and nightlife were sought after. The 1930s witnessed a surge in luxury hotels and casinos in Cuba, attracting affluent Americans and solidifying the United States' economic and political influence in the country.
