At least for the 2018 1.5T, the part # is 35510-TVA-A02 which replaces the older part number (35510-TVA-A01). Presumably they made improvements to it to fix this vulnerability.

Out of curiosity, I reflowed the bad solder joints on the bad airbag SRS indicator and applied power as shown below:

This is how it is powered whenever the headlights are on and the airbag OFF indicator is lit. With power applied, the resistors get really hot (107.7C!) as shown in the following IR image. The two resistors are identified by the green arrows.

So if you add to that a hot dash temperature when the heater is on, then those resistors are super toasty when operating which certainly contributes to the observed solder joint failure.
