In this video, Jenny reviews the all-new to market Hyundai i30 Sedan N. A performance sedan that we know in Australia now as the i30 Sedan N but is known in other markets as the Hyundai Elantra N.

Regardless of what it’s called this is one hell of a hot sedan and with competition like VW Golf and Polo GTI, Ford’s Focus and Fiesta ST, and the Honda Civic Type R.

It’s a flat power turbo 2-liter four-cylinder petrol engine and a sedan-specific, flow-optimised air intake. It produces 206kW of power and 382Nm of torque to the front wheels. It comes standard as an auto, with an 8-speed N dual-clutch transmission which is buttery smooth when it shifts. If you want a 6-speed manual it’s an option but the price is the same for either. 0-100 with this DCT can be done in 5.3 seconds or 5.8 if you have the manual.

There are now also 3 new performance functions available with this N DCT they are N Grin shift, N Power Shift, and track sense shift.

The manufacturer's listed price is just under 50k and current drive away offers to mean you can pick an i30 Sedan N up for $53k and remember that's the same price for either manual or auto.
