In this video, I explore with you the last resting place of Queen Elizabeth II, the chapel she built in memory of her father king George VI. The Queen lies with Prince Philip and her parents in a vault beneath the chapel, which is a striking piece of 1960s modernist architecture with more than a nod to history and continuity and designed by architect George Pace of York. The process of designing and constructing this chapel took seven years, the work being completed in 1969. King George was buried there that year, with Queen Elizabeth his wife and Princess Margaret his daughter joining him in 2002 and Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip in 2022.
