The Isuzu D-Max X-Terrain and the Nissan Navara Pro-4X Warrior are the top-spec variants in their line-ups - but which is the one you should buy if you're after a 4WD dual cab tourer?

The X-Terrain has gained heaps of 4x4 ute fans in the last few years, and the Navara has been around for ages - but has newfound life in this latest Pro-4X Warrior trim, which is the product of a collaboration between Nissan Australia and Melbourne-based vehicle engineering company, Premcar, and, as such, is purpose-built and Aussie-tested for off-road adventure.

And while the X-Terrain has a solid reputation as a great all-round ute, the Warrior has more than $9000 worth of aftermarket-style conversion work done to it and accessories onboard.
