Astrophotography is one of the most challenging (and sometimes frustrating!) hobbies out there. There are many variables that will effect how our final image turns out, and some of them we have no control over. If you only have 2 clear nights per month, it can be difficult to remember how to do your polar alignment, focus, which settings to use, etc.... It will also take a long time to gather enough data for a clean photo.

However, in today's video I want to focus on four variables that we do have control over: Camera Gear, Total Exposure Time, Processing Skill, and Light Pollution. If you can improve on all four of these variables, your final image quality will improve much faster!

I recommend focusing on your total exposure time and processing skills this winter. Both can be improved without spending any money.
