40 Years Strong – Since 1981, the National Veterans Wheelchair Games has served as a therapeutic sports program for veterans living with spinal cord injuries, amputations, multiple sclerosis or other central neurological conditions. Today it’s the largest annual rehabilitation and wheelchair sports event for military veterans. The event demonstrates the unstoppable character of veterans and seeks to foster wider respect for all persons with disabilities. With 20+ events and 600+ athletes, the games encourage adaptive sports to help Veterans become more active in their daily living and in their communities.
