SlapStory 03 w/ Tristan da Cunha

Last month, we headed up north to visit one of our favourite people on the planet - the man, the myth, the legend - Tristan da Cunha.

Tristan connected with our crew over a decade ago as an early supporter of the Funk, and it was instantly clear that he was made for our tribe. Now, we’re honoured to have him as a key player in our SlapFam, slappin’ and funkin’ with us all year round.

Ahead of our show in Leeds last December, Tristan kindly invited us into his home and we got the chance to take a closer look into the makings of all things TDC, from his first experiences with underground music, to his banging record collection and his first pair of turntables, that he still has today.

Smackin’ the speaker, breakin’ the beat, freakin’ the floor, however you want to call it - there’s not many out there that can do what this man can do, the way he does it. He’ll hook you in, shake you up and blow your roof right off, all with a cheeky grin on his face.
