The NBA Summer League, a place where many players come together to show off their skills for a chance to make it to the NBA, the NBA GLeague, or to just further their career in basketball in general through sheer exposure. But one of the titles every player tries to go after in that short but active Summer League trial is the Summer League MVP! And with Cam Whitmore winning it last week and being the 20th pick of his draft class, it is quite safe to say that he will get a guaranteed contract with the Houston Rockets and continue to develop into a real NBA player.
