I traveled by train to Raritan, New Jersey to try Filipino Foods for the first time. Watch me react to pork binagoongan or binagoongan baboy, a Filipino viand made with sauteed shrimp paste (bagoong alamang) and pork. I also try lechon paksiw, a dish made of leftover lechon (whole roast pig) cooked in vinegar. Next, I go Filipino grocery shopping at a local New Jersey Filipino store where I find incredible Filipino delicacies. I try Rgies Butterscotch Squares with Cashews, a pinoy sweet. Raritan is a train journey from Manhattan but it is well worth it to see New Jersey and discover these two Filipino food stops!
