What is scientism? Science is one of the most powerful tools devised by humankind, but we must distinguish it from the worldview that science is the only true source of knowledge about the world, and that ideas are valid only if they're arrived at through a scientific process.

In this video we examine some of the threats we're facing to our survival; things we've never before faced in our history. We look at the Twin Nuclei problem as described by Eric Weinstein, and the dangers of nuclear technology and gene editing technology. The fundamental question is this: do we have the wisdom to wield these astonishing, and potentially devastating, new technologies?

In order to use science in a responsible way, we have to understand its limits; the things it can and cannot answer. We explore two main limitations of science in this video found in two classic philosophical problems as articulated by David Hume:

1. The problem of induction
2. The is-ought problem
