For over 50 years, Yellowstone's valleys were filled with elk, bison, grizzly bears, and mountain lions roaming the mountains. The wolf had been exterminated in this environment and the coyote was top dog. But with the return of the wolf, the coyote is now the underdog in Yellowstone. This skillful hunter now has to confront the wolf in Yellowstone and is sometimes hunted himself by the wolf.
