● What we walked: 200km
● Start/end points: Looped trail that we started in Killarney
● Number of days: 8 (no rest days)
● Trail difficulty: 4/5
● Trail Quality: 4/5
● Views/area: 5/5

● Day 1: Killarney - Black Valley Hostel (24km)
● Day 2: Black Valley Hostel - Glencar (20km)
● Day 3: Glencar - Mountain outside of Glenbeigh (23km)
● Day 4: Mountainside - Cahersiveen (21km)
● Day 5: Cahersiveen - Waterville (33km)
● Day 6: Waterville - Sneem (31km)
● Day 7: Sneem - Kenmare (31km)
● Day 8: Kenmare - Killarney split (17km)

○ Camping/Accommodation ○
In general, Co. Kerry is one of the easiest places to find accommodation that can cater to walking in Ireland, as Kerry is so famous. This does mean that it can be expensive, and can require booking ahead. But there are multiple options to fit most budgets.
● On this trail the only official campsite we stayed in was in Killarney town itself, which has several.
● There are hostels in Killarney town, Black Valley Hostel, Glencar Hostel, Cahersiveen, and Kenmare.

🌿LEAVE NO TRACE IRELAND 🌿
Leave No Trace is all about knowing how you impact places when there - be it sports, waterways, hiking, camping - anything outdoors. It is so easy for us to damage nature and the natural environment, that it’s everyone’s job to learn how to take care of it, and learn the best ways to do things. This is going to take time, but if we don’t do it, there’ll be no nature left for all our adventures.

○ Public transport ○
Killarney is the largest town in the area, and is the place it will usually be easiest to get public transport to from other places in Ireland. There are a number of towns along this route with limited public transport, such as Cahersiveen, Waterville, Glenbeigh, Caherdaniel, and Kenmare.

Always inquire into tourist offices / information centres for local buses that might not have online schedules!
