With the community we are building the Kusamaverse, a real-time and persistent 3D home for the Kusama ecosystem. Enabling a new way for users to navigate, connect and contribute to and benefit from the Kusama ecosystem.

Where the Kusama community can gather, engage into on-chain and off-chain activities, tailored to collective value creation, and can build their own social network economy.

Where activities like staking, parachain auctions, treasury and governance, as well as gatherings, hackathons, policy making are directly accessible as a shared experience in the metaverse.

As proposed in Motion #436 https://kusama.polkassembly.io/motion... we are launching Milestone 1.

In this first milestone, we enable:

1) Live, real-time visualization of the relay chain, block validations and validators (active set)
2) Operator spaces + direct staking
3) Community Gatherings
4) Token gated access

You will find yourself in the beating heart of the @kusamanetwork ecosystem: the relay chain, the blocks that are being validated by which validator and the entire active set of validators. No fake animations, all real-time on-chain action, which you can join...

We bring staking to the metaverse, by enabling nominators to stake directly in validators on the spot. Independent validators (operators) set-up their own space, to join the ongoing expo, with their nodes, in the metaverse and build a direct relationship with their nominators.

Validators show their approach, numbers on performance, provide updates to their nominators and host (collaborative) gatherings

Goal: make staking accessible for the next wave of web3 users with a social user experience: "Hey, I like how you work, let me nominate your node!"

For nominators that'll offer a new experience in collecting validators in their "staking set", evaluating performance of that set and adjusting the set accordingly.

Not just leading to staking rewards, but E.g. also a timeline with updates from the validators in the set.

Next to operators meeting with their nominators in their own space, the Kusamaverse offers a shared community gathering area. Ambassadors, working groups and initiatives have spaces where they can host gatherings, where the step from "listening in" to co-creation is instant

Think Clubhouse/ Twitter spaces in the metaverse, including video, while being able to work in online apps that facilitate co-creation and collaboration, like Miro, Google Workspace and good ol' screenshare, with all participants in the same space, on the spot, effectively.

The Kusamaverse offers a world calendar so you'll have an overview of everything going on and in which space that activities will take place. Some of those spaces may host token gated or society (Kappa Sigma Mu) events.

We brought some additional feats to the table. Each Parachain has their own space too, with fully fledged meeting features just like the spaces for operators and community gatherings.

This enables Parachains to organize community calls, AMAs and work with their community in miro boards and google documents on the spot.

Basically you can window shop parachain projects and engage directly with the teams. It's one big 4ss 24/7 expo.

You can imagine next milestone, we're bringing in the collator nodes, crowdloans, and some of these parachain spaces becoming portals to their own 3D worlds... ;)

With this launch we are at humble beginnings. There is so much more we can do with the open source stack we are building, so we invite you to join us on May 24th at 3pm and explore the future of Momentum and the Dotsamaverse with the community.
