Recently, I was asked by Hulkman to review their newest Jump Starter, the Hulkman Alpha 85. With perfect timing at hand, I received the test Jump Starter just days before we ventured out on a 4 day, 390 mile overlanding trip... The perfect opportunity to test out the Hulkman.

While on the trip, the inevitable happened. One of our rigs traveling with us had a dead battery. While we had 10 or so rigs with us and anyone of them could have jumped off the struggling Jeep, I decided to put Hulkman to the test, and it preformed like A CHAMP! This posed the next question in my head.... What if I didn't have 10+ rigs with me. Often times, I am overlanding solo, venturing way off grid and exploring alone. What then? Prior to having the Hulkman in my Jeep, I would be stuck either radioing for help (hoping someone was within range to hear me), walking back through the wilderness hoping to find someone crossing my path or ride it out with my pack out and hope someone stumbles onto me. A scary thought. It is for this reason I say this is "A Must Have For All Overlanders and Off Road Rigs" without question. Even if your rigs battery does not die, having the safety and ease of mind that you are OK regardless is a stress reliever.

Additionally, your Hulkman Jump Starter has a C-Type input and output, USB input and 12v input. It can be used to charge a variety of devices while off grid including your radios, drones, camera gear, phone, computer, etc. This jump starter is versatile and extremely useful and everyone should keep this in their rig at all times.
