In this video I’ll make a soft and light sponge cake roll (roulade) filled with whipped cream and fresh strawberries, using a simple recipe, which can be remembered by heart and easily adjusted. The process is shown step-by-step so that everyone, including beginners in baking, can make this cake.

The filling can be adjusted as you like, it could be only whipped cream, your favourite jam or whipped cream with some other berries instead of strawberries.

Ingredients I use:
* 5 eggs
* 5 tablespoons sugar
* 5 tablespoons all-purpose-flour
* A pinch of salt
* Zest of 1 lemon (optional)
For filling:
* Approximately 150 ml whipping cream
* 4 tablespoons sugar
* Approximately 100 grams ricotta or cottage cheese (optional)
* Approximately 200 grams fresh strawberries
* ½ teaspoon vanilla (optional)
