JEFF BEZOS AND MARK ZUCKERBERG TESTIFY UNDER OATH: Jeff Bezos of Amazon, Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook, Tim Cook of Apple, and Sundar Pichai of Google testify before the House Judiciary Antitrust Subcommittee as part of its ongoing investigations focusing on how a handful of tech companies hold too much power. They will face questions on their companies’ standards and practices, anti-competitive behavior in the tech sector, and whether existing antitrust laws and enforcement are adequate. ‘Given the central role these corporations play in the lives of the American people, it is critical that their CEOs are forthcoming,’ House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler and Antitrust Subcommittee Chairman David Cicilline said in a joint statement. ‘As we have said from the start, their testimony is essential for us to complete this investigation.’
