We recently stayed at the Lake Isabel Cabin located South West of Pueblo, CO. We stayed there at the end of March 2022. This cabin is located in the Pike-San Isabel National Forest at an elevation of around 8,600'. This cabin is available to rent year round.

There are a ton of activities to do no matter what time of year you go. In the winter you can sled, there are snowshoeing/hiking trails, you can drive further up the road and snowmobile, ice fish, or just stay in the cabin and play games. In the summer time you can kayak on Lake Isabel, fish, hike, visit the Lake Isabel General store/restaurant, grill/have a fire outside, and just relax.

The cabin sleeps 6 comfortable. There is a kitchen and full a bathroom with tub/shower. The cabin does have running water and electricity. It also has a washer and dryer. If you have any questions about the cabin, please let me know. Thanks for watching!

Cabin info from website:
A quaint historical Forest Ranger cabin adjacent to the Lake Isabel Recreation Area. A day-use fee is charged at the Recreation Area which provides a stocked fishing lake, hiking and motorized trails, picnic areas and campgrounds. Boats without motors are permitted on the lake. Cross country skiing and tubing are popular activities in the winter. A restaurant and private cabins are nearby. The Frontier Pathway Scenic Byway passes by. By reservation only at www.recreation.gov.

Lake Isabel Cabin is ideal for guests who wish to experience camping in the Pike and San Isabel National Forest, yet sleep in a bed with a roof overhead. The modern cabin is full-service and can accommodate up to six guests, with convenient access to Lake Isabel, just three minutes away. Lake Isabel is one of the few lakes in Colorado developed purely for recreation. Built by the Civilian Conservation Corps, the lake attracts many campers who come to hike, canoe, fish and spend time bird watching. St. Charles Creek flows near the cabin and offers an extra option for fishing.
