Today we go searching for Big Fish on the Fly Rod In a Wooded Creek just below Lake Lewisville Dam and got lucky with some species we don’t often target on the channel….. Carp!!!! Featuring @RyanRigged

These were some of the easiest fish to target and yet they put up some of the best fights of all our local freshwater species of fish in the area, simply because you didn’t even have to cast to them with how shallow they were swimming along the bank, and if you were quiet enough, you could get right up to them and just dangle a fly or any other bait right in front of them and get a bite! We only had one chance at each area of the creek because they would get spooked and swim to safety after they know you are around.
