Welcome back to our channel! Richard and I were lucky enough to spend a weekend in the White Mountains, New Hampshire. While we were there, a huge snowstorm hit the mountains over 4,000 feet, blanketing them in snow. Considering the snow and the 5-hour drive we had back to Connecticut, our choices in hikes were limited. On our drive in we both were awestruck when we saw the peak of Mount Chocorua. It seemed out of place next to the other New England Mountains that are very old and worn down. We did some researched and learned the name of this spectacular mountain: Mount Chocorua.

We ended up hiking it despite it being under 4,000 feet and were not disappointed. It had spectacular ecosystems, views, and rock scrambling. Very similar to Madnanock in southern New Hampshire. The mountain has 360-degree views and amazing views of Mount Washington along with the Presidentials.

The mountain can be accessed from two different locations with parking lots. The parking lot we went to required a $ 5-day pass or a subscription to the Parks. Because of the accessibility, this hike is very popular and best to do early in the morning. We did it on a Sunday and there were quite a bit of people at the top of the mountain, but we barely saw people while hiking up and had no problem finding parking.
