The Russian Car Industry has COLLAPSED and provides an insight into what is happening in the Russian Economy. Russia has a longstanding history of car production dating back to 1929. Prior to the invasion of Ukraine the Russian car market was producing and selling over 1.5 million vehicles per year however sales have fallen by around 500,000 and production is down by significantly more which has negative knock on implications for employment and the Russian Economy. In this video I provide more details of what has been happening in the market and discuss the problems that Russia is now facing.
