Some practice video footage of Belted Kingfishers.

I've just recently started trying to video record Belted Kingfishers. Because they're so fast they are incredibly difficult to keep within the frame and unfortunately, I still need a lot of practice developing this skill. I've always loved watching these little speedsters and listening to their rattling staccato sounds so I'm having a great time out there hiding in the bushes by the water bank.

Note: When you watch the fight sequence starting at about the 40 second mark you'll see that one Kingfisher has clamped onto the upper beak of the other one. I did a freeze frame so it can be better seen. I thought this was pretty cool, and interestingly it's the Kingfisher that was minding its own business on the perch that locked onto the intruder.... serves it right!
