While this video’s techniques can be applied to any woody species of sage, the example plant is Allen Chickering Sage. It is almost identical in structure, and therefore pruning experience to Pozo Blue Sage, Whirly Blue Sage, and any other sages that are a hybrid between Cleveland Sage and Purple Sage.

While the structure and branch density is slightly different, we also recommend using the same to prune any native sage, including but not limited to Cleveland Sage, Winnifred Gilman Sage, Black Sage, Purple Sage, Island Sage, Thor Sage, Desperado Sage, White Sage, and any cultivars or hybrids of the species mentioned.
