Welcome, in this video tutorial I'll show you how to make your own Kermit the Frog from The Muppets out of paper.

Hi there, I'm Ben Stanley and I love working with paper, it's a brilliant material - flexible, strong and easily accessible to create with.

Starting with my free PDF template, which you can find via the below link, this video takes you through the cutting, scoring, folding and glueing process of building a fun and functional Kermit the Frog puppet out of paper, so you can create your very own Muppet Mayhem!

I'm happy to answer any questions about the build in the comments and I'd love to hear how you get on if you give it a go!

A4 Kermit the Frog Paper Puppet Template: https://tinyurl.com/BPPKermitTemplate

Materials:
• 9 sheets of green A4 paper (ideally 120 gsm) although 1 of the 9 sheets will be a template for the mouth and collar elements, so doesn't need to be green.
• 1 sheet of light green A4 or A5 paper (ideally 120 gsm)
• 1 sheet of red A4 or A5 paper (for the mouth)
• 1 small piece of pink paper such as a post-it note (for the tongue)
• 1 3cm diameter white polystyrene ball
• 2 paper fasteners
• 1 or 2 thin wooden barbecue skewers (as needed for manipulating Kermit's hands and arms - see this 15 second clip:    • How to add hand rods to Kermit paper ...   for how to attach them - note, you will need to glue the tip of each skewer before feeding them into the wrist in so that it holds fast inside the wrist.).

Tools:
• Printer (I recommend printing the template either via your web browser or via Adobe Acrobat Reader and make sure to print the pages at 100% scale)
• Cutting board
• Glue stick
• Wooden skewer / cocktail stick / spatular (to spread the glue)
• Ruler (ideally metal)
• Metal pointer or ball point pen that has run out of ink (to score the paper folds)
• Scissors / Craft knife
• Sharp bread knife (to cut the polystyrene ball)
• Black marker pen
• Pencil
• Coffee scoop with a long handle or something similar to help press the paper together when glueing difficult to reach areas of the puppet.
