Today we're looking at Charlie-27, a founding member of the original Guardians of the Galaxy and native to Earth-691, an alternate future Earth that exists in the year 3007.

We will cover the origins of Charlie-27 as depicted in the 1967 comic Marvel Super-Heroes #18, by Arnold Drake, Gene Colan, Herb Cooper, and Stan Lee. This story depicts how the Guardians of the Galaxy were formed around a deadly alien invasion by a species called the Badoon.

The Arden goes over Charlie's first two adventures Marvel Two-In-One (1974) #5 and Giant Size Defenders #5. In the first story, Captain America, The Thing, and Sharon Carter all travel to the future to battle the Badoon Emperor Drang, while in the second, the Guardians travel back in time and meet the Defenders - Doctor Strange, the Hulk, Valkyrie, and Nighthawk.
