When you're learning to solo, it's helpful to know scales. However, it's more helpful to know musical phrases as those will come out in your playing MUCH easier. In this video, we take a look at 2 phrases that use the minor pentatonic scale and add the flatted 5th note (the blue note). This turns the ordinary pentatonic into the blues scale and makes it super useful over blues, rock, country and more!
