This car was built for the 1981 Formula 1 season and was driven by Nigel Mansell. The Lotus 87 was the first Lotus F1 car to be built from Carbon Fibre and as a result it only weighs 587kg. The engine is a 3 liter Cosworth V8 producing around 500hp.
