A Vacuum Press for a Small Woodworking Workshop: Bag Presses and Flip-top Presses

In this video I will show you how adding a vacuum press for veneering IS AN AFFORDABLE OPTION FOR A SMALL WORKSHOP. Adding veneering to your arsenal of woodworking skills will open up the use of hundreds of species of woods to a small workshop. It will also allow the use of building techniques that are not available if you only have solid wood in your projects due to the stability of veneered plywood. A complete setup can be gotten together for under $500.

In this video I will discuss setting up a vacuum press with both as a bag press and a flip-top table press, including discussion how I made my own flip top table with readily available materials.

I have had my vacuum pump for over 30 years and it has been trouble free. Because of this I can easily endorse Vacuum Pressing Systems.
