Testing a General Electric branded 20-pints dehumidifier model ADEL20LYQ1. The unit was manufactured in September of 2019, and likely sold in the summer of 2020. Based on the filter, it has a good number of hours on it. It utilizes 0.14kg (4.9 ounces) of R-410 refrigerant. According to the information tag, it can draw up to 3.7 amps, but my testing in a 63 degree room showed it drawing only about 2.5. Use in a warmer environment will lead to higher power draw.

Out of all the modern appliances sold today, dehumidifiers are consistently the absolute worst. The build quality is exceptionally poor, leading to regular premature failures often after only 1 or 2 seasons of operation. For this one to still be working 4 years later is somewhat of an outlier.

After finding several vintage dehumidifiers over the course of last summer, I no longer have any need for this one. Since it is still in good working order, I will clean it up then pass it along to my neighbor. It will be interesting to see what brand the compressor is, it's quiet and sounds quite good.
