The majority of you watching this probably thought only of the United States, a country that Canada shares two land borders with, and this one is the longest land border between two countries in the entire world.



But did you know that Canada actually shares a land border with another country. And this country, believe it or not, is Denmark: let me explain


As you know, denmark owns the island of Greenland, which is extremely close to canada. When these two countries established maritime borders with each-other, it was later confirmed that these borders ran through an extremely pointless piece of land called Hans Island.


Both countries claimed this island entirely for themselves, which resulted in more than 50 years of back-and-forth border disputes. However, all this was put to and end when a few months ago, Denmark and Canada officially agreed on a border splitting this island in two. In other words, Canada now officially has a land border with Denmark.
