I finally had some luck on my side and found a bed of bluegills. There were a few that were the size of small dinner plates, but they wouldn't bite any of my lures. I was able to catch some medium and small sized ones, which I took home to eat! Finally! Some progress on my fishing for a fish sandwich video series! These panfish (or sunfish) were fun to catch, and quite easy. Some of them even hit the bait almost instantly as it fell into the water.
As I was finishing up my day of fishing, an older gentleman next to me caught a monster largemouth bass! He needed some help so I ran over and assisted him. What a rush!
