The Toyota Prius was one of the first hybrid vehicles that went on sale around the world. Decades after its introduction, a new generation of the Prius introduces a bold new look, a more powerful powertrain, and a lot more safety & driver aids.
The previous generation Toyota Prius had a 1.8L hybrid powertrain that produced around 120 hp. This new 2023 Toyota Prius is powered by a 2.0L hybrid engine that produces 196 hp. That is a substantial difference.
However, with the bump in power, fuel economy is still good. The 2023 Toyota Prius is rated for 4.8 L/100km in a city and 4.7 L/100km on a highway.
The 2023 Toyota Prius AWD XLE starts at $36,650 with the 2023 Prius AWD Limited costing $42,990. These are the manufacturer suggested retail prices without any fees and taxes.
