I am so excited to be able to bring you all along on this journey with us! In today’s video, I have put together all the clips of our pregnancy reveals…this video shows us telling our siblings and family members that we’re pregnant, and also shows clips of us sharing the reveal with some close friends and colleagues! I decided to walk you through the backstory so that you could REALLY know the details and feel the FULL EFFECT of the surprise!

The coolest part about all the pregnancy reveals was that our families had NO idea that we were trying to get pregnant. For years, we have been throwing them off, telling them that we wanted to wait until MUCH later before trying to get pregnant. I did this so that, when we did ultimately conceive, it would be a huge surprise for everybody! I love surprises, but this was a hard thing to hold in!

After I told Allie in such a fun way, we had to think of creative ways to tell the rest of our family members. We wanted to make sure we recorded everyone’s reaction, and we wanted to try doing something different for everybody.

We started off by telling each of our siblings. We told my brother and his girlfriend with a fun “photo” reveal!

Then we told Michael’s sister by just plopping a picture of the positive pregnancy test down in front of her at dinner.

Next, we invited my parents over for dinner to tell them with some revealing napkins, right before heading to Michael’s parents’ apartment to tell them the next day by pretending we found an extra Afikoman from Passover. My dad was the only one who saw it coming and our two moms both had the same response!

It was also amazing to tell Michael’s grandparents that they are going to have a great-grandchild!

Telling our friends was a bit difficult since we weren’t able to see most of them in person. There were a ton of FaceTime pregnancy reveals, but I tried to capture them on camera!

What really made this so special for us was that both of our families had no idea that we had been trying to get pregnant. Telling them just finally feels like they are all caught up on our lives and what’s been going on with us. They have seen all the changes I’ve made in the past year: tracking my cycle, taking care of my health, etc. without knowing it was all an attempt to get pregnant, so it feels very special that they know now!
