With the release of the "AWE" DLC for Control, the beloved character, Alan Wake, returns. It seems that Remedy is trying to set up one giant shared universe for their gaming properties, but specifically for Control and Alan Wake. Whether or not Quantum Break or Max Payne/Alex Casey will factor into this remains to be seen. For now, let's just deal with what we know.
