Hobart City Councillor Louise Elliot says many Tasmanians were “cringing” when Jacqui Lambie was first elected.

Senator Jacqui Lambie has torched billionaire Elon Musk as a “social media knob” with “no conscience” after the X owner refused the Australian government’s request to remove graphic content.

She has also called on other Australian politicians to “start switching off” X.

“The fact that I think her perspective seems way off on things,” Mr Elliot said.

“She has also resorted to name calling which is toddler behaviour, even though she is trying to treat us like toddlers with this censorship.

“It’s not a good look at all.”
