One of the more underrated films I have seen in a long time. People praise Darren Aronofsky for "The Wrestler" and "Requiem for a Dream", and rightly so. However, not enough people talk about his directorial debut: "Pi". He managed to do so much with so little in this film. Like his later films, it merges philosophy and intensity in the most gripping way possible. Can the universe be explained through mathematics? Or are human beings eternal victims of irrationality?
