Dwarf birch is found in the north and mountain areas. It can be used green for fire and in certain areas its the most common fuel. It has been used for this by the Sami people. You don´t need any cutting tools for this just use your hands and break off the twigs and branches.

Its not a long lasting fire you have to add fuel often but it works for cooking a fish or a brew. I found dead twigs to light it with but any dry material will do.
