Meghan Markle would have been a “huge asset” to the Royal Family if the Duke and Duchess had not left, according to writer and broadcaster Esther Krakue.

Ms Krakue praised Princess Catherine for her “immeasurable” support of King Charles during his reign.

“She's become such a pivotal figure in the royal family and in the institution, and she's very key to his reign now,” she told Sky News Australia.

“He's waited his whole life to become king, and the people that he has around him to support him are very important.”

Ms Krakue said it could have been a similar case with Meghan Markle if she remained in the Royal Family.
