From her second album, “Poetry Meets Song”, to this new album, “Ever Walking”, Cheng Bi has made a transition from the sentimental to the rational. Known as “the voice that is closest to poetry,” her vocals are crisp, clear, and endowed with the authenticity of life. The famous Japanese producer Sohichiro Suzuki has made these characteristics into the foundation of his pure, intellectual arrangements that are at times simple and solemn, at times resplendent and delicate.
