The time has finally come!!! The first (and possibly only) VINTAGE RUN of the season!!! With the border still "closed", the VSCADK (Vintage Snowmobile club of the Adirondacks) will be having its first Canadian run in a week and Matt doesn't have anything tuned up and ready to ride. With only one week to get something going, he takes a chance getting the old 1979 Skidoo Everest 444 liquid running after 3 years of hibernation! This precarious Bombardier 2-stroke is always hit or miss, but when it runs, it runs like heck!!! Plagued with typical spark and ignition reliability issues, you never know if it's going to start back up on both cylinders. You end up being lucky if they are only fouled...

In this video, Matt pulls the vintage sled out into the workshop and checks fluids, ignition system (spark plugs, coils, wires, points and condensers), inspects and lubricates the track and suspension and takes this old two cylinder 440 Rotax out for a quick ride around the field. He also complains about bad quality aftermarket import parts, the difficulty in finding good NOS Bosch and Rotax ignition parts and takes you for a tour of his custom emergency toolbox (that he always ends up needing in the trails...)
