Netflix’s The School for Good and Evil is filled with so many magical moments - that we could never wonder at how they pulled it all off. With the amount of stunts and practical effects - it's crazy to think that anyone went home without a few injuries. But rest assured - the all star crew quite literally took a beating to keep the cast safe.
When a film is adapted from a book loved around the world - you have to be precise and careful to not undersell the story and essence of the story. Author Soman Chainani made sure to not give up his story to anyone - and he eventually found award-winning director Paul Feig. By bringing him on - he was able to bring to the table vast and detailed sets - and of course - all the cool fight scenes we were hoping to see on the silver screen. But a director needs the right actors - and so after a trip around the world - they landed on the talented lead actresses Sofia Wylie and Sophia Anne Caruso. Plus, they have basically the same first name so it was obviously destined to be true! The rest of the cast came together after months of searching and the rest is cinema.
So finally, the movie we’ve all been waiting for - love it or not - it’s incredible to hear the experiences these Nevers and Evers went through while filming this magical adaptation. You’ll be shocked to see what these poor stunt people went through to sell these fight scenes too!
