Bending a 90 is more than likely the first bend you will learn to do. Most routes can be achieved with a simple 90 but remember that you only get 4 of them per run before you have to set a box. Running conduit is by far my favorite thing to do but always remember how electricity works...
It takes the path of least resistance.
Don't look for the craziest path, use a 30, use a 90, and keep on running.
